Oasis Escondido is an attractive and economic accommodation tucked away behind a privacy wall in a local neighborhood on Isla Mujeres. The 2 studio apartments and a palapa roofed cottage are set in a tropical garden with Banana trees and coco palms. The units are perfect for the visitor who wants to experience living in local neighborhood as an alternative to the hotel tourist environment
The palapa cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests with a loft bedroom for 2 overlooking the living room with a double futon. There is a large bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. From the kitchen, a private patio set in the magical garden is perfect for enjoying meals outdoors or just relaxing in a hammock.
The 2 studio apartments are set at the rear of the property. The upstairs apartment has a balcony overlooking the garden below and the surrounding neighborhood. The ground level apartment has a roomy terrace facing the garden. The apartments can accommodate a maximum of 3 people with two Double beds in the ground floor, Studio #2, and a double bed and air bed (for a 3rd person) in the upper apartment, Studio #1. Each apartment has a large well equipped kitchen including an oven. There are ceiling fans, hammocks and air conditioning in both units.
The surrounding neighborhood has many small family owned businesses for your convenience, everything from small shops for buying food and household supplies, bakeries, tortillerias, fruit and vegetable stands and small local restaurants and taco stands.
Oasis Escondido is located about mid island with the Caribbean Sea just a short walk away. Bus and taxis are easily available and inexpensive from this location.
